Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement core components of Zephyr's blockchain infrastructure, focusing on scalability, security, and privacy
- Develop and optimize the LatticeFold proof aggregation system and LatticeCommit polynomial commitment scheme
- Implement quantum-resistant cryptographic primitives based on problems like Learning With Errors (LWE) and Module Short Integer Solution (MSIS)
- Architect and build Zephyr's hyper-parallel execution environment capable of processing 1M+ transactions per second
- Design and implement the state rent mechanism for efficient blockchain state management
- Contribute to the development of Zephyr's smart contract execution environment, focusing on performance and security
- Collaborate with the research team to translate theoretical cryptographic concepts into practical implementations
- Lead code reviews, provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, and establish best practices for blockchain development
- Participate in the creation of technical documentation and contribute to open-source initiatives
- Stay current with the latest advancements in blockchain technology and cryptography, and propose innovations for Zephyr
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years focused on blockchain or distributed systems
- Deep understanding of blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic protocols
- Expertise in implementing complex cryptographic systems, including zero-knowledge proofs and homomorphic encryption
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Rust, Go, or C++
- Experience with high-performance, concurrent, and distributed systems
- Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography and lattice-based schemes
- Track record of designing and implementing large-scale, mission-critical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical challenges
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field; PhD in a relevant area is a plus
